I think it’s good try to understand why someone does what they do. There’s always a reason – upbringing, parents, bad times, traumatic experiences. If I’d gone thru that, I’d probably do the same thing.
I may go overboard in trying to be understanding.
Every person ever born has the best excuse ever for doing wrong. You were born that way, apart from God. It’s not your fault you sin! Trouble is, that doesn’t let you off. You must repent and believe in Jesus Christ. If you don’t, you’re to blame.
It may not be your fault you turned out the way you did, but it is your fault if you stay that way. It may be understandable, but it’s no excuse.
