I took down the bird nests on the front porch yesterday. The new birds just started flying so they don’t need them (there were two) and I’m afraid mom and dad are going to have another litter (or whatever bird kids are). Birds living on your porch can make bad messy.
But to them it’s normal and not a mess. Since it’s not a mess to them does that mean I let them nasty up my porch? No.
Why? Because it’s my porch and I get to decide what a mess is and if I want to put up with it or not.
Don’t you hate being a Christian and asking God to make you spiritually sensitive? Because as soon as you do and you’re going about some really unspiritual thing like cleaning up bird nests and messes, you think, Whose life is this? And whose porch am I living on? And what’s normal to me might be a mess to him – I don’t get to decide.
There's a health aspect to keeping bird's nests and mites and lice and mess off your porch. Can you factor that in?
