We got an electric toothbrush. It's $20 off at Costco and their regular price is $10 lower than WAL-MART -- so overall that's $30 lower than WAL-MART. Now that's an accomplishment.
I told Brenda last night using the new buzzing toothbrush reminded me of golf (at which I'm lousy). It's the concentration. To brush your teeth? Yes -- the little brush head is smaller than the toothbrush you're used to and you're wondering, OK am I putting it where it's supposed to go? Tooth by tooth! One at a time! You gotta pay attention -- you can start out right but if you get to daydreaming who knows where it might go.
That's how golf is -- you have to pay attention on every shot. If you get lazy, bad shot, guaranteed.
Plus, there's all that buzzing and vibrating and it's something new and it's a little uncomfortable changing what you've been doing since you were 2 or 3. Same with golf; when I told some golfing freinds that I wanted to learn, I could feel their disdain -- they didn't say it but I knew they were thinking, there's no way you can learn this game at your age, you'll be 100 before you can even be as good as we are now. And they're right. But I'm learning anyway.
I'm learning because the men in my family play and I want to be with them -- like with my brother (he taught his boys and now they clobber him)(:39):
But you can't play guitar with a golf club -- you can with an electric toothbrush (:20):
