I'm looking for 3 notecards paper-clipped together with the rest of the phone numbers I need to put in my phone. Can't find 'em. But I did find this, in the scrawled handwriting that tells me I wrote it in the dark, I think during a church service with the lights too low to see:
Everything the church does, does not have to be for the unchurched, to draw them in. Some things are family -- between God and the kids. In marriage, I'm not always deciding what to do & how to do it based on trying to draw people to marriage.
Sometimes I forget that. Yesterday we were in a church that didn't try too hard to do things in a way that is relevant to people who think church is irrelevant. They just did what seemed normal, in a sincere way, with a reverent attitude.
Maybe it just suited my prejudices. But it was refreshing.
