Yeah, it got my attention, too. It was a gift for Christmas. It's written by the fellow who gave us The Message. But I can't start reading it yet, because Brenda won't put it down. She's read five chapters today. For Christmas I gave her several Karen Kingsbury novels, which she wanted, but for some reason she has to read this first. I asked her why:
He talks about his dog getting a bone and then going off by itself and gnawing on it and growling a low growl as it chews. He says sometimes in the Bible the word for growl can also mean 'meditate.' He says when John was on Patmos (Revelation 10) he starts to take notes but the angel stops him and tells him to 'eat this book' -- to take it into himself.
It's helping me to know how to read the Bible -- not just for knowledge, but for life -- to approach it everyday to get something new.
I'll probably be able to get it back this week; I don't think she'll take long to finish it. SEE IT HERE.
